    The Institute is a private enterprise founded by Professor Xu Feilong, director of the research institute, who was one of the two former chief experts of material sector in China Changsha Mining and Metallurgy Research Institute. He has been engaged in research and development of superhard material since 1970 and initiated applying powder catalyst in particular to producing fine grain diamond in 1980’s, and enjoys great popularity in this field.
